Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a respected construction organization in Brockton, MA to hire a Part-Time Bookkeeper/Billing Specialist. In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely billing for labor and project-related services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in both bookkeeping and invoicing, particularly in the construction industry.

Location: Brockton, MA

Pay: $28/hourly

Schedule: Part-Time, 25 hours/week (Flexible)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue invoices based on timesheets, project milestones, or contract terms
  • Track and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable
  • Record and categorize financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
  • Process payments to vendors and subcontractors
  • Maintain and update job costing reports for ongoing construction projects
  • Assist with payroll data entry (if applicable)
  • Generate financial reports as requested by management
  • Ensure compliance with contract billing terms and audit requirements
  • Collaborate with staffing coordinators to align billing with labor hours

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping and/or billing roles
  • Familiarity with construction billing, certified payroll, or staffing agency invoicing a plus
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
